Finding a Host Institution
Host Institution
Candidates must select a host institution that supports them during the implementation of their project. The institution should be based in the same country than the fellow, and can be from the public, private, non-profit or academic sector.
The mission and activities of the host institution must be aligned with the goals of the project and the professional development vision of the candidate. The institution must be a relevant actor in the selected site and in the implementation of the project and must commit to provide institutional support and resources to the fellow during the project, including on issues of project management, communications, human resources and equipment. The funds of the fellowship are typically allocated directly to the fellow, and thus the program does not consider funds for indirect or administrative costs.
The Coastal Solutions Fellows Program builds and supports an international community to design and implement solutions that address coastal challenges across the Pacific Americas Flyway. Our main goal is to conserve coastal habitats and shorebird populations by building the knowledge, resources, and skills of Latin American professionals, and by fostering collaborations among multiple disciplines and sectors.
